Little Talland | Open House

As part of the Firle Artists May Art Event, Vanessa Mooncie is opening her home Little Talland to all visitors, on Sundays only from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, 2nd May to 23d May.

Vanessa has brought together a group of some of her favourite artists, makers and designers to exhibit together as friends and professionals.

The collection of wonderful work will be displayed in the front room and hallway of the Edwardian home Little Talland, The Street, Firle (formerly the residence of Virginia Woolf) and will showcase an eclectic mix of silver jewellery, fine crochet jewellery, ceramics, taxidermy, lingerie, soft furnishings and textiles.

Vanessa Mooncie | is a crochet jewellery designer who produces fine jewellery and accessories inspired by fashion, nature, circus, dance and art. Her work continues the rich tradition of crochet techniques and styles through its long history as both a craft and an art form.

Julie Tucker-Williams |  is a silver smith artist who produces fine and delicate pieces that are encapsulated and influenced by the world of charms, symbols and textures; which when brought together create jewellery with a  powerful connation that is  held by subtle arrangements of style. Wendy Jung | is a ceramist who produces exquisite ornaments and decorations for the home. Her work is modelled by creamy suffusions of porcelain and tactile surfaces that create pieces of rich excellence and touch.

Jazmine Miles Long | is an ethical taxidermist and sculptor who works only with animals that have died from natural causes. Her work is a marriage of the sublime beauty of nature, the animal kingdom and the fixed world of art and the object.
