Hazel Welch is inspired by personal memories and hopeful daydreams, and explores the ideas of childhood fantasy and the ultimate quest for 'cool'.  The characters she creates perform with true abandon, long legged and confident; they evoke memories of private moments, hairbrush solos and daydreams of adoration. 

Her collection of screen prints and collages celebrate moments of pure happiness and profound embarrassment, creating a fantasy world tinged with anxiety.
